McDowell Titans (Marion, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Mitchell Mountaineers (Bakersville, NC), 11-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, McDowell upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Titans host North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC) to battle the Black Hawks in a non-league test on Tuesday, March 28. The Black Hawks come into the test with a record of 4-3. North Buncombe won 6-3 in their recent non-league test against Asheville (Asheville, NC)

With the defeat, Mitchell falls to 1-4 on the season. The Mountaineers host Brevard (Brevard, NC) to battle the Blue Devils in a non-league test on Monday, March 27.
