Schaumburg Saxons (Schaumburg, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Prospect Knights (Mt. Prospect, IL), 42-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Schaumburg upgrades its record to 16-11 on the season. The Saxons host Hoffman Estates (Hoffman Estates, IL) to play the Hawks in a Mid-Suburban - West bout on Wednesday, February 1. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 3-20. Hoffman Estates lost 74-21 in their recent league bout against Barrington (Barrington, IL)

Next up, the Knights play the Buffalo Grove Bison (Buffalo Grove, IL) in a Mid-Suburban - East bout, on Wednesday, February 1. Prospect will attempt to upgrade on its 20-8 season record. The Bison go into the bout with a 8-17 record after their 56-39 league win over Wheeling (Wheeling, IL).
