Lamar Vikings (Arlington, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Arlington Colts (Arlington, TX), 72-29 in a league bout.

With the win, Lamar upgrades its record to 19-12 on the season. The Vikings host Weatherford (Weatherford, TX) to encounter the Kangaroos in a 5A Region I District 4 bout on Friday, January 27. The Kangaroos go into the bout with a record of 8-17. Weatherford lost 63-38 in their recent league bout against North Crowley (Fort Worth, TX)

Next up, the Colts encounter the Martin Warriors (Arlington, TX) in a 5A Region I District 4 bout, on Friday, January 27. Arlington will attempt to upgrade on its 1-23 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 13-12 record after their 54-20 league loss to Bowie (Arlington, TX).
