May 1, 2021: Lake Zurich, IL 60047 The Lake Zurich Bears softball team scored 8 runs and limited the visiting Glenbrook North Spartans to 1 in the Bears non-league triumph on Saturday.
With the triumph, Lake Zurich moves its record to 3-6 on the year. The Bears travel to Lake Forest (Lake Forest, IL) to clash with the Scouts in a North Suburban game on Monday, May 3. The Scouts come into the game with a record of 1-7. Lake Forest lost 13-12 in their recent non-league game against Highland Park (Highland Park, IL)
The Spartans (4-5) will now prepare for their test against New Trier (Winnetka, IL). The Trevians enter the non-league test with a 4-9 record. In their last test, New Trier was routed by Buffalo Grove (Buffalo Grove, IL), 18-2, in a non-league test.
