November 30, 2021: Avon Park, FL 33825 The Avon Park Red Devils basketball team scored 25 points and held the visiting McKeel Academy Wildcats to 24 in the Red Devils non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Red Devils now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lake Gibson for a non-league contest on Friday, December 3. Avon Park will meet a Braves team coming off a 42-40 league win over George Jenkins (Lakeland, FL). The Braves record now stands at 3-1.
The Wildcats (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Auburndale (Auburndale, FL). The Bloodhounds enter the contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Auburndale was nudged by Sebring (Sebring, FL), 34-17, in a league contest.
