Ponca Indians (Ponca, NE) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Irene/Wakonda Eagles (Irene, SD), 51-26 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Ponca improves its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Indians host Laurel-Concord-Coleridge (Laurel, NE) to confront the Bears in a C2 District 5 battle on Tuesday, December 13. The Bears come into the battle with a record of 2-2. Laurel-Concord-Coleridge won 59-28 in their recent non-league battle against Tri County Northeast (Emerson, NE)

The Eagles (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Wagner (Wagner, SD). The Red Raiders come into the non-league battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Wagner trounced Winner (Winner, SD), 73-26, in a non-league battle.
