Virginia High School Basketball - Veritas School knocked off by New Covenant

January 21, 2022: Richmond, VA 23227

The New Covenant Gryphons basketball team scored 50 points and held the host Veritas School Lions to 38 in the Gryphons non-league triumph on Friday.

The Gryphons now sport a 6-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Covenant for a VISAA Division 3 contest on Tuesday, January 25. New Covenant will battle a Eagles team coming off a 50-24 league loss to North Cross (Roanoke, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 4-5.

The Lions (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Cristo Rey (Richmond, VA). The Royals enter the non-league contest with a 1-9 record.
