In Thursday's league outing, the Weed Cougars (Weed, CA) basketball squad beat the visiting Fall River Bulldogs (McArthur, CA), by a count of 71-62.

The Cougars (10-2) will now prepare for their outing against Etna (Etna, CA). The Lions go into the Shasta Cascade outing with a 1-12 record. In their last outing, Etna was topped by Modoc (Alturas, CA), 71-45, in a league outing.
