Florida High School Basketball - Northeast can't hold off Hernando

December 19, 2016: Brooksville, FL 34601

The Hernando Leopards basketball team scored 42 points and held the visiting Northeast Vikings to 38 in the Leopards non-league triumph on Monday.

The Leopards now sport a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Sumter for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 20. Hernando will battle a Raiders team coming off a 60-20 non-league loss to Weeki Wachee (Weeki Wachee, FL). The Raiders record now stands at 4-6.

The Vikings (7-2) will now prepare for their contest against Nature Coast Tech (Brooksville, FL). The Sharks enter the non-league contest with a 4-9 record. In their last contest, Nature Coast Tech was nudged by Hernando (Brooksville, FL), 46-25, in a league contest.
