New Mexico High School Basketball - Portales nudges Big Spring
December 10, 2021: Portales, NM 88130 In Friday's non-league outing, the Portales Rams (Portales, NM) basketball squad edged the visiting Big Spring Steers (Big Spring, TX), by a count of 37-31.
The Rams (5-1) will now prepare for their outing against Lamesa (Lamesa, TX). The Tornadoes go into the non-league outing with a 1-10 record. In their last outing, Lamesa was tipped by Dumas (Dumas, TX), 58-22, in a non-league outing.
The Steers now hold a 4-5 record. They play next when they travel to Ozona for a non-league outing on Saturday, December 11. Big Spring will clash with a Lions squad coming off a 50-30 non-league win over Lake View (San Angelo, TX). The Lions record now stands at 9-3.
