Minnesota High School Basketball - St. Peter can't hold off Lake City
January 8, 2022: Lake City, MN 55041 The Lake City Tigers basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the visiting St. Peter Saints to 51 in the Tigers non-league victory on Saturday.
The Tigers now sport a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lourdes for a AA Section 1 contest on Tuesday, January 11. Lake City will battle a Eagles team coming off a 72-56 league loss to Plainview-Elgin-Millville (Elgin, MN). The Eagles record now stands at 4-8.
The Saints (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Blue Earth (Blue Earth, MN). The Buccaneers come into the non-league contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Blue Earth was nudged by Waseca (Waseca, MN), 77-73, in a league contest.
