Illinois High School Basketball - Westville holds off Watseka
January 26, 2024: Westville, IL 61883 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Westville Tigers (Westville, IL) and the visiting Watseka Warriors (Watseka, IL), saw Westville's basketball squad hold off Watseka by a tally of 41-36.
With the victory, Westville improves its record to 17-5 on the campaign. The Tigers host La Salette Academy (Georgetown, IL) to confront the Lions in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 27. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 14-5. La Salette Academy won 70-45 in their recent non-league challenge against Donovan (Donovan, IL)
Next up, the Warriors confront the Armstrong Trojans (Armstrong, IL) in a Vermilion Valley challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Watseka will attempt to improve on its 12-9 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 12-11 record after their 83-26 non-league win over Tri-Point (Cullom, IL).
