August 26, 2023: Cerritos, CA 90703 The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Westminster Lions (Westminster, CA) and the host Whitney Wildcats (Cerritos, CA), saw Westminster's volleyball squad beat Whitney by a tally of 2-0.
With the win, Westminster upgrades its record to 4-9 on the year. The Lions travel to El Modena (Orange, CA) to play the Vanguards in a non-league bout on Saturday, August 26. The Vanguards go into the bout with a record of 5-3. El Modena lost 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against La Serna (Whittier, CA)
The Wildcats now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they host La Mirada for a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 29. Whitney will play a Matadores squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Los Altos (Hacienda Heights, CA). The Matadores record now stands at 3-1.
