Ohio High School Basketball - Vermilion knocked off by Perkins

The Perkins Pirates basketball team scored 44 points and held the visiting Vermilion Sailors to 36 in the Pirates league triumph on Thursday.

The Pirates now sport a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Clyde for a Sandusky Bay - Lake contest on Tuesday, January 11. Perkins will battle a Fliers team coming off a 42-39 non-league loss to Margaretta (Castalia, OH). The Fliers record now stands at 4-7.

The Sailors (0-10) will now prepare for their contest against Edison (Milan, OH). The Chargers enter the non-league contest with a 1-8 record. In their last contest, Edison was defeated by Port Clinton (Port Clinton, OH), 63-48, in a league contest.
