Alabama High School Football - Northside Methodist Academy held off by Cottonwood

In Friday's non-league game, the Cottonwood Bears (Cottonwood, AL) football team tipped the host Northside Methodist Academy Knights (Dothan, AL), by a score of 28-26.

The Bears (3-3) will now prepare for their game against Houston County (Columbia, AL). The Lions come into the 2A Region 2 game with a 4-2 record. In their last game, Houston County got by Ashford (Ashford, AL), 50-26, in a non-league game.

The Knights now sport a 0-5 record. They take the field next when they host Liberty County for a non-league game on Friday, October 1. Northside Methodist Academy will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 42-0 league win over Graceville (Graceville, FL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-1.
