Washington High School Football - Kennedy routs Foster
October 5, 2012: Tukwila, WA 98168 The Kennedy Lancers football squad scored 47 points and limited the host Foster Bulldogs to 0 in the Lancers league win on Friday.
The Lancers now possess a 4-1 record. They play next when they host Renton for a 2A/3A Seamount battle on Saturday, October 13. Kennedy will play a Indians squad coming off a 38-24 league loss to Lindbergh (Renton, WA). The Indians record now stands at 3-3.
Coming up next, the Bulldogs play the Evergreen Wolverines (Seattle, WA) in a 2A/3A Seamount battle, on Friday, October 12. Foster will attempt to advance on its 1-5 season record. The Wolverines go into the battle with a 0-6 record after their 48-6 league loss to Hazen (Renton, WA).
First Quarter
The Lancers struck quickly as Zach Nobmann blocked a Foster punt and recovered it in the endzone, putting Kennedy up 6-0 with 10:22 to go in the quarter.
Connor Richardson connected with Drew Thompson on a 28 yard TD pass at 9:07, with Richardson finding Cole Madison in the end zone for the 2 point conversion.
Connor Richardson hooked up again with Drew Thompson on a 50 yard bomb and Colin Cossette adding the PAT putting Kennedy up 21-0 with 7:53 to go in the quarter.
The aerial assault continued for Kennedy with C. Richardson to D.Thompson on a 16 TD pass, Richardson to C. Madison for the 2 point conversion at the 6:40 mark in the qyarter, 29-0 Lancers
Second Quarter
James Merrill smothered the Foster ball carrier for a safety to begin the quarter.
Connor Richardson connected with Drew Thompson for their fourth TD of the half, a 7 yard toss at the 9:32 mark - PAT good by Colin Cossette.
Drew Thompson ran the ball in from 6 yards out, at 2:22, to round out the Lancer scoring for the half, PAT failed
