Arizona High School Volleyball - Rock Point tips Grand Canyon
September 14, 2012: Grand Canyon, AZ 86023 The crowd at Friday's league bout between the Rock Point Cougars (Rock Point, AZ) and the host Grand Canyon Phantoms (Grand Canyon, AZ), saw Rock Point's volleyball squad nip Grand Canyon by a tally of 3-2.
With the win, Rock Point upgrades its record to 3-4 on the year. The Cougars travel to Joseph City (Joseph City, AZ) to play the Wildcats in a V Section I bout on Friday, September 28. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 6-1.
The Phantoms now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Ganado for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 15. Grand Canyon will play a Hornets squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Holbrook (Holbrook, AZ). The Hornets record now stands at 14-6.
