The L.C. Bird Skyhawks basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Steward Spartans to 45 in the Skyhawks non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Skyhawks now sport a 12-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cosby for a Dominion contest on Tuesday, January 24. L.C. Bird will meet a Titans team coming off a 72-49 league loss to James River Midlothian (Midlothian, VA). The Titans record now stands at 9-6.

The Spartans (14-6) will now prepare for their contest against Peninsula Catholic (Newport News, VA). The Knights enter the TCIS contest with a 0-7 record. In their last contest, Peninsula Catholic was defeated by Cape Henry Collegiate (Virginia Beach, VA), 56-15, in a league contest.
