Mohawk Mustangs (Marcola, OR) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Powers Cruisers (Powers, OR), 44-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mohawk upgrades its record to 4-4 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Days Creek (Days Creek, OR) to play the Wolves in a non-league bout on Monday, December 18. The Wolves go into the bout with a record of 2-5. Days Creek lost 45-40 in their recent non-league bout against Central Christian (Redmond, OR)

Next up, the Cruisers play the Toledo Boomers (Toledo, OR) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 27. Powers will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record.
