In Saturday's non-league game, the host Hanover Area Hawkeyes baseball team scored a tight 6-5 victory over the Northwest Area Rangers.

The Hawkeyes (3-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Greater Nanticoke Area (Nanticoke, PA). The Trojans come into the Wyoming Valley 2 challenge with a 7-10 record.

With the defeat, Northwest Area falls to 11-6 on the season. The Rangers host Millville (Millville, PA) to encounter the Quakers in a Mid-Penn D4 challenge on Wednesday, May 15. The Quakers come into the challenge with a record of 13-6. Millville lost 7-0 in their recent league challenge against Montgomery (Montgomery, PA)
