Texas High School Basketball - Fruitvale holds off Scurry-Rosser
December 9, 2023: Fruitvale, TX 75127 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Fruitvale Bobcats (Fruitvale, TX) and the visiting Scurry-Rosser Wildcats (Scurry, TX), saw Fruitvale's basketball squad hold off Scurry-Rosser by a tally of 43-41.
With the victory, Fruitvale improves its record to 11-8 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Cooper (Cooper, TX) to confront the Bulldogs in a 2A Region II District 15 challenge on Friday, December 15. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 5-8.
Next up, the Wildcats confront the Malakoff Tigers (Malakoff, TX) in a 3A Region III District 18 challenge, on Tuesday, December 12. Scurry-Rosser will attempt to improve on its 4-7 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 12-2 record after their 57-31 non-league win over Frankston (Frankston, TX).
