December 1, 2023: Mt. Airy, GA 30563 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Habersham Central Raiders (Mt. Airy, GA) and the visiting Flowery Branch Falcons (Flowery Branch, GA), saw Habersham Central's basketball squad knock off Flowery Branch by a count of 70-57.
With the victory, Habersham Central upgrades its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Raiders host Stephens County (Toccoa, GA) to play the Indians in a non-league test on Saturday, December 2. The Indians go into the test with a record of 2-0. Stephens County won 52-41 in their recent non-league test against Tallulah Falls (Tallulah Falls, GA)
The Falcons now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Jackson County for a non-league test on Monday, December 4. Flowery Branch will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 59-46 non-league loss to Athens Academy (Athens, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 0-3.
