The Alief Taylor Lions held off the visiting Strake Jesuit Fighting Crusaders football team by a count of 24-17 in Thursday's league outing.

With the win, Alief Taylor upgrades its record to 4-3 on the season. The Lions travel to Pearland (Pearland, TX) to confront the Oilers in a 6A Region III District 23 outing on Friday, October 21. The Oilers go into the outing with a record of 3-4. Pearland lost 21-14 in their recent league outing against Dawson (Pearland, TX)

With the loss, Strake Jesuit moves to 3-4 on the season. The Fighting crusaders host Alief Hastings (Houston, TX) to confront the Bears in a 6A Region III District 23 outing on Friday, October 21. The Bears go into the outing with a record of 1-6. Alief Hastings won 41-14 in their recent league outing against Alief Elsik (Houston, TX)
