Virginia High School Basketball - Rye Cove nudges Northwood
December 27, 2021: Saltville, VA 24370 Rye Cove Eagles (Clinchport, VA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Northwood Panthers (Saltville, VA), 67-61 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Rye Cove upgrades its record to 9-0 on the season. The Eagles travel to Honaker (Honaker, VA) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 28. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 3-5. Honaker won 74-49 in their recent non-league bout against Castlewood (Castlewood, VA)
Next up, the Panthers clash with the Richlands Blue Tornado (Richlands, VA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 29. Northwood will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Blue Tornado go into the bout with a 5-3 record after their 74-62 non-league loss to Ridgeview (Clintwood, VA).
