Oregon High School Basketball - Thurston nudges Roseburg
December 9, 2011: Springfield, OR 97478 Thurston Colts (Springfield, OR) backers were in high spirits Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Roseburg Indians (Roseburg, OR), 53-46 in a non-league challenge.
With the victory, Thurston improves its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Colts travel to South Medford (Medford, OR) to play the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 13. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 5-0. South Medford won 93-37 in their recent non-league challenge against Bend (Bend, OR)
Next up, the Indians play the Marist Spartans (Eugene, OR) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 13. Roseburg will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 37-29 non-league loss to Regis (Stayton, OR).
