New York High School Volleyball - Tappan Zee over Rye
October 19, 2010: Rye, NY 10580 Tappan Zee Dutchmen (Orangeburg, NY) fans went home thrilled Tuesday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Rye Garnets (Rye, NY), 3-0 in a non-league game.
The Dutchmen now have a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mt. Vernon for a non-league game on Wednesday, October 20. Tappan Zee will meet a Knights team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Scarsdale (Scarsdale, NY). The Knights record now stands at 3-9.
The Garnets (1-15) will now prepare for their game against Greeley (Chappaqua, NY). The Quakers enter the Section 1 Conference 3 - B game with a 6-8 record. In their last game, Greeley dropped by Fox Lane (Bedford, NY), 3-1, in a league game.
