August 30, 2021: Black Mountain, NC 28711 The crowd at Monday's non-league test between the Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC) and the visiting Thomas Jefferson Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC), saw Owen's soccer squad knock off Thomas Jefferson by a count of 4-1.
The Warhorses now hold a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to Brevard for a non-league test on Wednesday, September 1. Owen will meet a Blue Devils squad coming off a 6-1 non-league loss to Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC). The Blue Devils record now stands at 0-2.
With the loss, Thomas Jefferson drops to 0-1 on the season. The Gryphons host Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC) to meet the Bearcats in a non-league test on Wednesday, September 1. The Bearcats come into the test with a record of 3-1. Hendersonville won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Franklin (Franklin, NC)
