In Friday's non-league game, the Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC) football team knocked off the host Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC), by a score of 28-0.

The Wildcats (2-1) will now prepare for their game against Crest (Shelby, NC). The Chargers come into the South Mountain Athletic 2A/3A game with a 2-0 record. In their last game, Crest toppled Ashbrook (Gastonia, NC), 44-28, in a non-league game.
