January 20, 2024: Stonington, CT 06379 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Stonington Bears (Stonington, CT) and the visiting Scituate Spartans (North Scituate, RI), saw Stonington's basketball squad wallop Scituate by a tally of 67-37.
With the victory, Stonington improves its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Bears host Bacon Academy (Colchester, CT) to play the Bobcats in a Eastern Connecticut II challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 3-7. Bacon Academy won 48-38 in their recent non-league challenge against Lyman Memorial (Lebanon, CT)
Next up, the Spartans play the Moses Brown Quakers (Providence, RI) in a Division 3 challenge, on Monday, January 22. Scituate will attempt to improve on its 0-12 season record. The Quakers come into the challenge with a 6-3 record after their 78-36 league win over Exeter-West Greenwich (West Greenwich, RI).
