Ferndale Yellow Jackets (Johnstown, PA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting North Star Cougars (Boswell, PA), 48-25 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ferndale upgrades its record to 1-2 on the season. The Yellow Jackets travel to Conemaugh Valley (Johnstown, PA) to play the Blue Jays in a non-league bout on Friday, December 8. The Blue Jays go into the bout with a record of 0-2. Conemaugh Valley lost 63-23 in their recent league bout against Penns Manor (Clymer, PA)

Next up, the Cougars play the Blacklick Valley Vikings (Nanty Glo, PA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 7. North Star will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 47-30 non-league win over Rockwood (Rockwood, PA).
