September 16, 2021: Decatur, IN 46733 The crowd at Thursday's non-league test between the Bellmont Braves (Decatur, IN) and the visiting Jay County Patriots (Portland, IN), saw Bellmont's soccer squad triumph over Jay County by a count of 5-0.
The Braves now hold a 6-6 record. They play next when they host New Haven for a Northeast Hoosier test on Monday, September 20. Bellmont will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to DeKalb (Waterloo, IN). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-10.
With the loss, Jay County drops to 5-3 on the season. The Patriots host Centerville (Centerville, IN) to meet the Bulldogs in a non-league test on Saturday, September 18. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 3-4. Centerville lost 7-0 in their recent non-league test against Yorktown (Yorktown, IN)
