California High School Basketball - Gunn can't hold off Pioneer
December 22, 2021: Palo Alto, CA 94306 The Pioneer Mustangs basketball team scored 43 points and held the host Gunn Titans to 41 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Mustangs now sport a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Los Gatos for a non-league contest on Monday, December 27. Pioneer will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 59-38 non-league loss to Christopher (Gilroy, CA). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-5.
The Titans (7-2) will now prepare for their contest against Milpitas (Milpitas, CA). The Trojans enter the non-league contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Milpitas was nudged by Santa Teresa (San Jose, CA), 47-45, in a non-league contest.
