Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Howard Lions (Ellicott City, MD) and the visiting Long Reach Lightning (Columbia, MD), saw Howard's basketball squad wallop Long Reach by a tally of 68-4.

With the victory, Howard improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Bonita Vista (Chula Vista, CA) to confront the Barons in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 10. The Barons come into the challenge with a record of 2-2. Bonita Vista won 60-56 in their recent non-league challenge against Colonial (Orlando, FL)

Next up, the Lightning confront the Marriotts Ridge (Marriottsville, MD) in a Howard County challenge, on Friday, December 9. Long Reach will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 35-23 league win over Mt. Hebron (Ellicott City, MD).
