Spectators at Friday's league battle between the Union City Bears (Union City, PA) and the host Iroquois Braves (Erie, PA), saw Union City's baseball squad knock off Iroquois by a count of 4-1.

Coming up next, the Bears play the Cambridge Springs Devils (Cambridge Springs, PA) in a District 10 Region 3 battle, on Monday, May 2. Union City will attempt to move on its 4-5 season record. The Devils enter the battle with a 3-4 record after their 8-7 league loss to Cochranton (Cochranton, PA).

The Braves now possess a 2-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Seneca for a non-league battle on Saturday, April 30.
