Texas High School Basketball - Harlingen South nips Sharyland
December 6, 2022: Mission, TX 78572 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Harlingen South Hawks (Harlingen, TX) and the host Sharyland Rattlers (Mission, TX), saw Harlingen South's basketball squad hold off Sharyland by a tally of 51-48.
With the victory, Harlingen South improves its record to 3-8 on the campaign. The Hawks host Pace (Brownsville, TX) to play the Vikings in a 5A Region IV District 32 challenge on Tuesday, December 13. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 9-4.
Next up, the Rattlers play the Weslaco Panthers (Weslaco, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 8. Sharyland will attempt to improve on its 2-7 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 5-9 record after their 66-30 non-league win over Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX).
