New Mexico High School Softball - La Cueva bounces Manzano
May 19, 2021: Albuquerque, NM 87122 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league match between the La Cueva Bears (Albuquerque, NM) and the visiting Manzano Monarchs (Albuquerque, NM), saw La Cueva's softball squad achieve victory over Manzano by a count of 17-7.
The Bears now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host West Mesa for a 5A District 2 match on Saturday, May 22. La Cueva will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 13-8 non-league win over Valley (Albuquerque, NM). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-4.
With the loss, Manzano falls to 2-7 on the campaign. The Monarchs host Santa Fe (Santa Fe, NM) to face the Demons in a 5A District 5 match on Saturday, May 29. The Demons enter the match with a record of 0-13. Santa Fe lost 27-4 in their recent league match against Los Lunas (Los Lunas, NM)
