The Helix Highlanders topped the visiting Coronado Islanders volleyball team by a score of 3-0 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Highlanders now have a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hoover for a non-league test on Tuesday, August 31. Helix will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Hilltop (Chula Vista, CA). The Cardinals record now stands at 1-2.

The Islanders (2-5) will now prepare for their test against Mar Vista (Imperial Beach, CA). The Mariners enter the non-league test with a 0-2 record. In their last test, Mar Vista was knocked off by Montgomery (San Diego, CA), 3-0, in a non-league test.
