Florida High School Basketball - Citrus can't hold off Umatilla
December 7, 2022: Inverness, FL 34452 The Umatilla Bulldogs basketball team scored 46 points and restricted the host Citrus Hurricanes to 42 in the Bulldogs non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lake Weir for a contest on Friday, December 9. Umatilla will battle a Hurricanes team coming off a 43-31 league loss to South Sumter (Bushnell, FL). The Hurricanes record now stands at 0-1.
The Hurricanes (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Springstead (Spring Hill, FL). The Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, Springstead was nudged by Lecanto (Lecanto, FL), 61-55, in a non-league contest.
