January 13, 2018: Newton, NJ 07860 Montville Mustangs (Montville, NJ) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Kittatinny Regional Cougars (Newton, NJ), 51-35 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Montville upgrades its record to 8-1 on the season. The Mustangs host Sparta (Sparta, NJ) to play the Spartans in a Northwest Jersey - National bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 4-4. Sparta lost 39-34 in their recent non-league game against Hanover Park (East Hanover, NJ)
With the defeat, Kittatinny Regional moves to 6-2 on the year. The Cougars travel to Lenape Valley (Stanhope, NJ) to face the Patriots in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 16. The Patriots enter the game with a record of 7-2. Lenape Valley won 56-29 in their recent non-league game against Vernon (Vernon, NJ)
