South Dakota High School Basketball - Alcester-Hudson nips Iroquois
December 22, 2018: Iroquois, SD 57353 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Alcester-Hudson Cubs (Alcester, SD) and the host Iroquois Chiefs (Iroquois, SD), saw Alcester-Hudson's basketball squad hold off Iroquois by a tally of 54-50.
With the victory, Alcester-Hudson improves its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Cubs host Avon (Avon, SD) to play the Pirates in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 28. The Pirates come into the challenge with a record of 0-4. Avon lost 64-27 in their recent league challenge against Colome (Colome, SD)
Next up, the Chiefs play the Gayville-Volin Raiders (Gayville, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 29. Iroquois will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 65-57 non-league win over Andes Central/Dakota Christian (Lake Andes, SD).
