Alabama High School Basketball - Jacksonville can't hold off Douglas
November 27, 2015: Jacksonville, AL 36265 The Douglas Eagles basketball team scored 67 points and held the host Jacksonville Golden Eagles to 61 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Friday.
The Eagles now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brindlee Mountain for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 1. Douglas will battle a Lions team coming off a 55-51 non-league loss to Holly Pond (Holly Pond, AL). The Lions record now stands at 2-3.
The Golden Eagles (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Weaver (Weaver, AL). The Bearcats enter the non-league contest with a 4-0 record. In their last contest, Weaver nudged Lincoln (Lincoln, AL), 50-18, in a non-league contest.
