Georgia High School Basketball - Stone Mountain knocked off by Mary Persons
December 21, 2019: Stone Mountain, GA 30083 The Mary Persons Bulldogs basketball team scored 67 points and held the host Stone Mountain Pirates to 52 in the Bulldogs league triumph on Saturday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Crawford County for a A Region 4 contest on Friday, December 27. Mary Persons will meet a Eagles team coming off a 46-39 non-league win over Tattnall Square Academy (Macon, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 7-3.
The Pirates (1-13) will now prepare for their contest against Forest Park (Forest Park, GA). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 2-11 record. In their last contest, Forest Park was defeated by LaGrange (LaGrange, GA), 63-49, in a non-league contest.
