Iowa High School Basketball - Bishop Garrigan holds off West Hancock
January 7, 2022: Algona, IA 50511 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Bishop Garrigan Golden Bears (Algona, IA) and the visiting West Hancock Eagles (Britt, IA), saw Bishop Garrigan's basketball squad hold off West Hancock by a tally of 53-52.
With the victory, Bishop Garrigan improves its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Golden Bears host Belmond-Klemme (Belmond, IA) to confront the Broncos in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 11. The Broncos come into the challenge with a record of 3-5.
Next up, the Eagles confront the Lake Mills Bulldogs (Lake Mills, IA) in a North Iowa challenge, on Tuesday, January 11. West Hancock will attempt to improve on its 5-3 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 4-7 record after their 53-40 league loss to Forest City (Forest City, IA).
