Georgia High School Softball - Lovett holds off Heard County
August 17, 2019: Atlanta, GA 30327 Lovett Lions (Atlanta, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Heard County Braves (Franklin, GA), 7-5 in a non-league challenge.
The Lions now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kennesaw Mountain for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, August 21. Lovett will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 11-0 league win over North Cobb (Kennesaw, GA). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-1.
With the loss, Heard County falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Braves travel to Temple (Temple, GA) to battle the Tigers in a 5-AA challenge on Tuesday, August 20. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 2-3. Temple won 7-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Mt. Zion (Mt. Zion, GA)
