August 27, 2021: Buckner, KY 40010 Oldham County Colonels (Buckner, KY) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team smash the visiting Shelby County Rockets (Shelbyville, KY), 56-12 in a non-league challenge.
The Colonels (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Fern Creek (Louisville, KY). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Fern Creek trounced Henry Clay (Lexington, KY), 21-10, in a non-league challenge.
The Rockets now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they host East Jessamine for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 3. Shelby County will meet a Jaguars team coming off a 22-21 non-league loss to Rockcastle County (Mt. Vernon, KY). The Jaguars record now stands at 0-2.
