Iowa High School Basketball - Central Springs knocked off by New Hampton
February 2, 2023: Manly, IA 50456 The New Hampton Chickasaws basketball team scored 52 points and held the host Central Springs Panthers to 42 in the Chickasaws non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Chickasaws now sport a 8-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Charles City for a non-league contest on Friday, February 3. New Hampton will battle a Comets team coming off a 73-37 non-league loss to Crestwood (Cresco, IA). The Comets record now stands at 1-16.
The Panthers (10-8) will now prepare for their contest against Northwood-Kensett (Northwood, IA). The Vikings enter the Corn Bowl contest with a 8-14 record. In their last contest, Northwood-Kensett was defeated by Osage (Osage, IA), 57-24, in a non-league contest.
