North Carolina High School Volleyball - Asheboro tips Union Pines

September 1, 2022: Cameron, NC 28326

In Thursday's non-league contest, the Asheboro Blue Comets (Asheboro, NC) volleyball squad edged the host Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC), by a margin of 3-2.

Next up, the Blue Comets battle the Oak Grove Grizzlies (Winston-Salem, NC) in a Mid-Piedmont 3A contest, on Wednesday, September 7. Asheboro will attempt to better on its 2-5 season record. The Grizzlies come into the contest with a 2-6 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to East Rowan (Salisbury, NC).

With the loss, Union Pines drops to 4-3 on the campaign. The Vikings host Scotland (Laurinburg, NC) to battle the Fighting Scots in a Sandhills 3A/4A contest on Tuesday, September 6. The Fighting Scots come into the contest with a record of 5-2. Scotland won 3-1 in their recent league contest against Southern Lee (Sanford, NC)
