California High School Soccer - Community Charter ripped by Banning
December 4, 2008: Wilmington, CA 90744 In Thursday's non-league test, the Banning Pilots (Wilmington, CA) soccer squad crushed the visiting Community Charter Titans (Lakeview Terrace, CA), by a count of 8-0.
The Pilots (2-0) will now prepare for their test against Manual Arts (Los Angeles, CA). The Toilers enter the non-league test with a 2-0 record. In their last test, Manual Arts overcame Hamilton (Los Angeles, CA), 3-1, in a non-league test.
The Titans (1-2) will now prepare for their test against Vasquez (Acton, CA). The Mustangs enter the non-league test with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Vasquez overcame Desert (Edwards AFB, CA), 4-0, in a non-league test.
First Half
Banning dominated the first half from the beginning minute. The first of 3 first half goals came at 5 minutes into the game. The midfield play from Andre, Joseph and Daniel controlled the ball for Banning. By the end of the first half, Banning had a 3-0 lead, with 2 goals by Jose and one by Daniel.
Second Half
The second half was more of the same. The midfield players moved up and began to score at ease. Andre Martinez scored 2 goals, as well as assisting on all 3 of the second half goals. Jose added another 2 goals, and Richard ended the game with his first varsity goal. Banning 8 and Charter 0.
