Lawrence Central Bears (Indianapolis, IN) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Decatur Central Hawks (Indianapolis, IN), 64-59 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lawrence Central upgrades its record to 1-7 on the season. The Bears host Ben Davis (Indianapolis, IN) to play the Giants in a Metropolitan bout on Saturday, December 27. The Giants go into the bout with a record of 4-2. Ben Davis lost 47-34 in their recent non-league bout against Brownsburg (Brownsburg, IN)

Next up, the Hawks play the New Palestine Dragons (New Palestine, IN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 2. Decatur Central will attempt to move on its 1-5 season record. The Dragons enter the game with a 6-1 record after their 73-57 non-league win over Franklin Central (Indianapolis, IN).
