Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA) and the visiting Northwood Panthers (Saltville, VA), saw Galax's basketball squad wallop Northwood by a count of 65-12.

With the victory, Galax upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Maroon Tide travel to Radford (Radford, VA) to play the Bobcats in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 1. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Radford won 54-25 in their recent non-league challenge against Giles (Pearisburg, VA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Council Cobras (Council, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, December 1. Northwood will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Cobras come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 32-9 non-league loss to Castlewood (Castlewood, VA).
